Everyone knows by now that eating fruit and vegetables is good for a healthy diet as they are high in fibre, vitamins and minerals whilst low in calories. However most fruit and vegetables can help you create an alkaline body diet because they are rich in potassium.
How it Works
The average person will eat at least 100 grams of protein per day when the recommended intake is averaged at about 50g. Eating protein in its moderation is fine; however going over the daily allowance of protein can create an acid body. Protein is made up of amino acids which are high in phosphorous and sulphur. When the minerals are digested and absorbed, they combine with water, this forms phsophuric and sulphuric acid, making your bodies’ ph balance to acidic. To balance the body out again you need to eat fruit and vegetables.
Why Is It Important?
The body relies on a delicate balance to maintain optimum breathing, circulation, digestion and hormone production. When the body is too acidic, you are more vulnerable to degenerative diseases as bacteria and viruses are able to enter and thrive on the acidic environment.
Signs of Imbalance
Signs of the body being imbalanced include headaches, allergies, aches and back pains.
