Think you know your bananas?
This weekend, Earth Markets is giving customers the chance to guess the weight of a giant banana bunch for the opportunity to win a $100 Earth Markets gift card.
Over the next six weekends, the competition will visit all six Earth Markets stores across the Gold Coast and Logan. Each weekend, one store will host the banana bunch and its competition barrel.
How to enter
Entering is easy.
First, shop at the participating Earth Markets store during the competition weekend. Once you have completed your purchase, keep your receipt and write your weight guess in kilograms on it.
Next, add your full name and contact number. Finally, place your completed receipt into the competition barrel.
The closest valid guess to the actual weight of the banana bunch will win.
When and where is the competition being held?
The competition begins this weekend at The Kitchens, Robina, running from Friday 24 July to Sunday 26 July 2026.
After that, the competition will continue at a different Earth Markets store each weekend. It will visit:
- The Kitchens, Robina Town Centre
- North Robina, Robina Town Centre
- The Pines, Elanora
- Stockland Burleigh
- Q Super Centre, Mermaid Waters
- Hyperdome, Loganholme
The winner from each weekend will be drawn on the Monday immediately following the competition weekend. Therefore, the first winner will be drawn on Monday 27 July 2026.

What can you win?
There is one $100 Earth Markets gift card to be won at each participating store. As a result, six winners will be selected throughout the six-week competition.

Terms and conditions
- Earth Markets promotes this competition.
- The promotion runs over six consecutive weekends, commencing Friday 24 July 2026.
- Earth Markets will host the competition at one store each weekend, with all six stores participating once during the promotion.
- To enter, participants must make a purchase at the participating Earth Markets store during the applicable competition weekend.
- Participants must retain their receipt and write their weight guess in kilograms, full name and contact number on the receipt before placing it into the competition barrel.
- Each valid receipt allows one entry.
- Earth Markets must receive complete and legible entries before the participating store closes on the applicable Sunday.
- The entrant with the guess closest to the banana bunch’s actual measured weight wins.
- If two or more entrants submit equally close guesses, Earth Markets will select the earliest valid entry based on the date and time shown on the receipt.
- Each participating Earth Markets store will provide one $100 Earth Markets gift card to its competition winner. There are six prizes in total, valued at $600.
- Earth Markets will select each winner on the Monday immediately following the relevant competition weekend.
- Earth Markets will contact each winner using the mobile number provided on their entry and arrange for the winner to collect their gift card from an agreed Earth Markets store.
- Winners must ensure their name and contact number are correct and legible. Earth Markets cannot contact a winner if the details provided are incorrect or incomplete.
- If Earth Markets cannot contact a winner within seven days, or the winning entry does not meet these terms and conditions, Earth Markets may select the next closest valid entry.
- Earth Markets will reject incomplete, illegible, late, duplicated or fraudulent entries.
- Earth Markets may verify entries and disqualify any entrant who does not comply with these terms and conditions.
- The gift card is redeemable at all Earth Markets locations. It is not redeemable for cash and cannot be returned for a cash refund. No change will be given when using the gift card. The gift card remains valid for four years from the date of issue. Additional credit cannot be loaded onto the gift card.
- By entering, participants consent to Earth Markets collecting their name and contact number to administer the competition and contact the winner. Earth Markets will handle personal information in accordance with its Privacy Policy.
- Winners may be announced on Earth Markets’ social media channels and website using their first name and store location, subject to applicable privacy requirements.
- Tropicana supports the promotion but does not administer the competition or award the prizes.
- This competition is skill-based. Earth Markets’ decision remains final, subject to Australian Consumer Law.
